Bellevue Road House
The original house on this site on a prominent location in Bellevue Hill, was an eye-catching confection of pale pink walls and mock georgian windows.
Alterations and additions to the house retained 90% of the original walls and added a new storey. Precise lines of newly rendered walls give the house a striking and pristine new appearance. Window apertures were retained, given high performance glazing, along with bronze window surrounds and external venetian blinds.
These improve the thermal and acoustic performance of the facade, and give the occupants much needed privacy. Cross ventilation through the building is improved by the judicious addition of openings and ceiling fans, thus eschewing the need for air conditioning.
In time the landscape will afford the occupants more privacy and the foliage and its shadows play off their crisp white backdrop
